Dear Members:

The final event of the season is May 19th and 20st at Chippewa Bowl in South Bend, IN. For those of you not familiar with the Championship format it is run under a slightly different format. Qualifying is on Saturday, you will bowl 4 games starting at 9:30, take a break for lunch and return to bowl another 4 games. The top third of each class will return on Sunday morning to bowl 6 more games, top 12 advance to the standard finals bracket system. You must have bowled in 4 or more tournaments from September to April (not counting the Masters) in order to bowl in this event for $60. If you have bowled 3 you may enter for $120, $180 if you only bowled 2. If you have bowled all 9 events you can enter for $40. Following the last game of qualifying on Saturday there will be a buffet for all in attendance at Chippewa Bowl.

We had 70 bowlers compete at Casey’s Lanes in LaPorte this past weekend. Thanks go to Casey Arndt and his staff for hosting us again this year. We had a first time champion this month with Dennis Aurand defeating James Mason Jr for the title. Chris Robben had the tournament’s high game with a 289.
