Dear Members:
The December tournament is scheduled at Beacon Bowl on the 17th. The Masters
Invitational is scheduled for January at Strikes and Spares in Mishawaka, one
shift only. The format for the Masters has been changed 6 games of qualifying,
top 1/3 cash, top 16 bowl double elimination match play to determine the winner.
The management at Joey Armadillo’s wanted you to know that they mistakenly
thought this was a scratch event and not a handicap tournament and had put out
a tougher shot than what they otherwise would have, and have assured us it wouldn’t
be that way in the future.
We had 60 bowlers competing for nearly $3,100 in prize money. Mike English
had the tournament high game with a 267.
